Libby Znaimer is joined by Giorgio Taverniti, Owner of Frank’s Pizza House in Toronto.

One way to overcome the boredom and anxiety that comes with physical distancing is to spend your energy trying to help others. A lot of this is happening at the neighbourhood level. On my street, for example, we have a group email where anyone who needs something just needs to ask. And, I know that some of the young people are taking special care to ask those who were returning from trips if they need grocery or medication runs. Another residents’ group, not far from us is taking it one step further. They are helping to feed people who may be struggling financially. The St. Clair West Residents Group has arranged a fund with Frank’s Pizza House to send pizza to families who are now short of cash. Frank’s is an institution in the neighbourhood. I have had their pizza . It is delicious! And they are suffering too. The owner Giorgio Taverniti joins Libby to discuss his current situation.
