Libby Znaimer is joined by Miranda Ferrier, President & Founder of the Ontario Personal Support Worker Association and Dr. Doris Grinspun, Chief Executive Officer of the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO).

The pandemic is shining a light on the way we treat our seniors and the long standing problems in our nursing homes! Nearly half of the deaths have occurred in long term care homes, sometimes amid terrible, unsafe conditions. Premier Ford called the situation “a wildfire” and last night Queen’s park passed an order forbidding nursing home staff to work in more than one facility. Ford also said he will be transferring health care workers from hospitals where there is some excess capacity to the care homes where they are needed most. Libby and our guests discuss the latest situation on the front lines.
