Libby Znaimer is joined by Dr. Brian Hodges, Executive Vice President Education and Chief Medical Officer at the University Health Network (UHN) and Lisa Levin, Chief Executive Officer of AdvantAge Ontario.

Nowhere has Ontario felt the pinch of the COVID-19 crisis the strongest than in it’s long-term care homes. As of yesterday, there were outbreaks across 121 homes. The new ban forbidding workers to work in more than one facility has exacerbated the staffing shortage. Last week, the province announced that it would be sending teams from hospitals into nursing homes to help out. The province’s medical officer of health is reporting that there have been 400 requests for help and those calls have been answered. Libby and our guests discuss the latest details of that initiative and how the UHN is doing its part in supporting nursing homes.
