Imagine going through a serious, unrelated illness in the midst of the pandemic. The process is incredibly stressful for cancer patients who have to face delayed or changed treatment plans. And, even when they receive their chemotherapy or other medications, it has to be a constant worry because the drugs compromise their already weakened immune systems.
