There’s no question that the current pandemic has forced our doctors to change the way they deliver healthcare services to patients. It’s been no different when it comes to eye care. Like all other types of doctors, Optometrists have turned to virtual care for their patients. The question now is: will this become more of a permanent fixture in a post COVID-19 world? And then there’s the discussion of what kind of process and measures optometrists have to undertake to safely reopen their practices as the government eases restrictions in the weeks and months ahead.
