Jane Brown is filling in for Libby Znaimer this week. She is joined by Marissa Lennox, Chief Policy Officer at CARP, Donna Duncan, CEO of the Ontario Long-Term Care Association, and Lisa Levin, CEO of AdvantAge Ontario.

Yesterday, Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced that the province will make AC mandatory in all new long-term care homes and facilities that are being renovated. Minister of Long-Term Care Dr. Merrilee Fullerton said that indoor visits to residents will be permitted starting on July 22. Funding by the province will also go towards the construction of additional long-term care beds at a price tag of $1.7-billion. Marissa of CARP says, “this is a step in the right direction”.
