Jane Brown is filling in for Libby Znaimer today. She is joined by the Zoomer Squad including Marissa Lennox, Chief Policy Officer at CARP, David Cravit, Vice President of Zoomer Media, and Peter Muggeridge, Senior Editor of Zoomer Magazine.

Despite the province giving the go-ahead for indoor visits to residents in long-term care, the rules being enforced are making it discouraging for those visits to take place. Also, a survey by the Ontario Health Coalition points to staffing shortages at homes. A predicament that is leaving basic care needs unmet for residents. And, a new report from the Canadian Medical Association journal reveals that COVID-19 outbreaks and deaths are worse at for-profit nursing homes compared to non-profit homes.
