The Wynne Liberals’ new healthcare plan for seniors is being welcomed by the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario. A statement says the organization is pleased to see the plan will also address elder abuse prevention, improve access to dementia care and introduce stronger protections for vulnerable seniors through the Office of the Public Guardian. The strategy is called ‘Aging with Confidence. We spoke with Andrea Horwath, Leader of the Ontario NDP along with Candace Chariter, CEO of Ontario Long Term Care Association and Robert Morton, Interim CEO of AdvantAge Ontario about the new plan.
