Mayor John Tory’s efforts to make a deal with King Street business owners is not working, as they renewed their campaign to halt, or drastically cut back the King Street pilot project. The business owners say their revenues are down by as much as 50% and they’re challenging City Hall’s numbers about the benefits for transit riders. We spoke with the unofficial Mayor of King Street, Kit Kat owner Al Carbone and Councillor Michael Thompson to learn more.
