Are the three Ontario parties paying enough attention to healthcare? They’ve all made various promises, more money for hospitals or long term care as well as mental health and the campaigns haven’t officially started yet. The province’s nurses have expressed their concern about staffing levels with 10,000 vacant nursing jobs in Ontario, while patients come in with more and more acute conditions. Libby speaks with Vicki McKenna, RN, Ontario Nurses’ Association President and Doris Grinspun, CEO of the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario.
