It’s not unusual to see pedestrians walking and crossing intersections while looking at their smartphones. A new study out of the University of British Columbia found that more than a third of pedestrians are distracted by their cell phones by texting, reading or talking and listening. Toronto Police Constable Clint Stibbe and street safety advocate Albert Koehl weigh in.
