ONTARIO ANNOUNCES CANNABIS RETAIL AUGUST 14, 2018

The new provincial PC’S announced the roll out of their plan for a private system to sell recreational cannabis sales in Ontario. Minister of Finance, Vic Fedeli says the new PC government will allow recreational cannabis sales through an online-only retail chain known as the Ontario Cannabis Store when its legalized this fall and will move to a “tightly regulated” private retail model for the sale of recreational marijuana by April 1ST, 2019. The federal government has set October 17th as the day recreational marijuana will become legal across Canada. We speak with the VP of Haiku brands, Canada’s first vertically-integrated cannabis brand house and Allan Rewak, Executive Director for the Cannabis Council of Canada to learn more.
