Following announcements that Ford’s government will be working to privatize cannabis sales, many questions remain. More than 75,000 Canadians use cannabis medicinally and Health Canada estimates an increase to over 450,000 by 2024. An expansion of regulations will include recreational use which will likely have clinical implications for many patients. Today we explore how recreational cannabis will differ from medicinal cannabis , along with the many questions that arise about legalization such as when and where will you will be able to access both and what the potential acute and chronic side effects of using either one are.
