Many Canadians continue to receive scam phone calls with complaints from 60,000 Canadians. Now the Trudeau Liberals in Ottawa are getting involved. Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale says they’re investigating phone scammers from India posing as agents with the Canada Revenue Agency. Goodale says Ottawa is in touch with Indian authorities, allies and intelligence agencies. The phone scammers have stolen more than 10 million dollars from Canadians. It’s an issue that’s attracted the attention of CARP – a new vision of aging because elderly people are more vulnerable to phone scams.
