Both Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Ontario Premier Doug Ford are promising extra help for General Motors workers at the Oshawa Plant which is now slated to close after December of next year. Trudeau said all options are being considered, while Ford is calling for extra employment insurance benefits and retraining as GM restructures to concentrate on next generation electric and self driving vehicles. Today Oshawa GM workers are back at their jobs today. So, what might their future hold? Libby speaks with Aaron Wudrick, Federal Director, Canadian Taxpayers Federation, Greg Moffatt, GM plant chair and Maralyn Tassone, Executive Director, Durham Region Unemployed Help Centre .
