In the era of the #metoo movement and #timesup, it seems as though ageism is the last taboo topic, and may even be the last acceptable form of prejudice. As a society, we’ve made a lot of progress against the most recognizable “isms” – sexism, racism, and the LGBTQ has come a long way, but is still striving to gain understanding and acceptance. So why it is that ageism is still acceptable? More importantly, what can we do to fight back against aging stereotypes to combat ageism?
