Today Holocaust Remembrance Day will be marked by the launch of Liberation75, an event to mark the 75th anniversary of the liberation from the Holocaust. This is a program designed to educate students about what the Holocaust stands for and serves as a lesson about what can happen when hate goes unchecked. This initiative is being supported by the leading Holocaust education, genocide prevention, and human rights organizations in the world.
A global gathering of Holocaust survivors, descendants, liberators, students and friends to honour the 75th anniversary of liberation from the Holocaust and gives students the opportunity to hear from the last remaining survivors – who empower our kids to build their future on a foundation of tolerance and inclusion. Liberation75 will welcome over 7000 attendees to Toronto from May 31-June 2, 2020. Libby speaks with Marilyn Sinclair, the founder of Libertation75.
