According to Feed Ontario’s annual report, the number of seniors over 65 using food banks has nearly tripled, from 3 per cent to 8 per cent in the past ten years. The organization has released a new hunger map which shows that food insecurity exists everywhere in the province.

The centre of Toronto and the inner suburbs are places where the problem is biggest.

Libby Znaimer is joined by Amanda King, Interim Executive Director and Director of Communications and Research at Feed Ontario, as well as Talia Bronstein, Vice President, Research and Advocacy at the Daily Bread Food Bank.
