The Canadian federal election campaign officially kicks off today. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau are meeting with Governor General Julie Payette at Rideau Hall at 10 am to begin the process of dissolving Parliament and commence the campaign. Election day is October 21st.
