TOPIC – IBC Consumer Campaign – What can we do about auto insurance in Ontario?
INFO – The Insurance Bureau of Canada announced details of a planned consumer program to educate Ontarians about insurance products. IBC is doing so in an effort to educate consumers so they have a better understanding of their home and auto insurance and hope to raise the profile and awareness for the industry.
“Consumers think auto insurance rates are too high. The government thinks auto insurance rates are too high. Businesses think auto insurance rates are too high. We think auto insurance rates are too high.
Since 2010, we’ve been working with the government and the insurance industry on reforms to the Ontario auto insurance product. We still have much road to travel but we need Ontarians input along the way.
Join us for the launch of our most comprehensive and aggressive consumer awareness campaign and we’ll explain what we are doing to help bring rates down.
So beginning on July 26, we demystify the auto insurance industry, one road at a time.”
