Amy has been heavily involved with and is a member of the Association to Protect Amherst Island. Her family has lived on Amherst Island for the past 150 years.

Amherst Island – a small farming community near Kingston. It’s a beautiful, quaint community, where time has stood still for decades. Last month, Heritage Canada added the Island to its list of Ten Most Endangered Places in Canada. The Island is also a designated Important Bird Area.

Amherst Island has until Aug.9th to build a case to prevent the construction of 36 industrial wind turbines which will blanket the island.
