TOPIC – The Flu

INFO – The flu is a serious infection that causes fever, headaches, muscle aches, fatigue, and sore throat. Every year an estimated 10-25% of Canadians may get the flu. Although most of these people recover completely, an estimated 500-1500 Canadians, mostly seniors and people with chronic disease, die from serious complications of flu.

We will discuss how to prevent catching the flu. We will discuss when to suspect that you have the flu, when to go to a doctor, and when to go to the ER. And we will discuss treatment options for people who do have the flu.
