INFO – While men are more likely to experience issues with substance dependence women are twice as likely to experience depression and are also more likely to experience other mood and anxiety disorders. The role of trauma: Women are more likely to suffer domestic violence and abuse which can lead to mental health issues

BIO – Dr. Valerie Taylor has a new cross appointment to CAMH/Women’s College Hospital. She is also Psychiatrist-in-Chief at Women’s College Hospital, and is on the forefront of women’s health.
