Fans of westerns will be smiling tonight since we began the week with The Lone Ranger and we wind up the week with another adventure with the masked man and his Indian friend Tonto. The Lone Ranger radio program was extremely popular with both children and adults and aired from 1933 to 1956. In fact, surveys at the time indicated that over half of the show’s audience was comprised of adults. It was originally broadcast on Jan 31, 1933 on WXYZ in Detroit, Michigan. The program you’ll hear tonight was first broadcast in 1942 and is entitled The Devil’s Sink.
And stayed tuned for Harold Peary to wear the cloak of the Great Gildersleeve and the episode “New Bed for Marjorie”.
