Hi, I’m Gene Stevens, with what’s coming up on the next ‘Vintage Favourites’.
This Sunday afternoon, it’s ‘the vintage year – 1975’ – Canada went metric, Toronto’s CN Tower became the world’s tallest free-standing structure, and a little company called ‘MicroSoft’ was born. The last American helicopters left their Saigon Embassy rooftop and President Ford survived two assassination attempts.
‘Jaws’ defined the summer blockbuster, Muhammed Ali gave us ‘the Thrilla in Manila’, and the music thrilled us too – from Captain Fantastic to the Boss, with comebacks by Neil Sedaka and Glen Campbell.
Join me this Sunday at 2pm., for the singular sensation of ‘The Vintage Year 1975’ – from Zoomer Radio.
