It’s a brand new year, and the first ‘Vintage Favourites’ show each January celebrates Elvis Presley’s birthday. After all these years, and all our many Elvis features – here’s something brand new.

I call it ‘The Elvis Discovery Edition’ – spotlighting 12 amazing Elvis songs we’ve NEVER played before, and you might have never heard before. From his 50s roots, through the 60s movie years and 70s concert era … from rockabilly, country and gospel to bluesy rockers and beautiful ballads – join me for an hour of ‘Elvis Discovery’.

Plus: the debut of a new feature – the 3 O’Clock Triple Play spotlight on the great bands of our time, alphabetically from ABBA to the Zombies. Our first spotlight: on the Swedish superstars we still love decades later. And there’s more: an hour of Ronnie Hawkins, including his rarely-heard first release – and a look back to this station’s launch 18 years ago in 2001.
