This month has a rare ‘blue moon’ – the second full moon in a calendar month. The ‘harvest moon’ was the first. Our only natural satellite has inspired poets and songwriters for centuries. I’m Gene Stevens with 21 classic songs about the moon – from old time crooners, to rock’n’rollers, doo wop singers and even beat poet Jack Kerouac.
Plus: Part 2 of Canadian music imports and exports – the great songs we’ve sent out to the world for others to cover. That’s ‘Vintage Favourites’ Sunday at 1, on Zoomer Radio.
