Hundreds of people packed Ste-Agnes Church in Lac Megantic, Quebec Saturday to remember those who died in the July 6th rail disaster.
Governor General David Johnston, Prime Minister Stephen Harper, and Quebec Premier Pauline Marois were among the dignitaries attending.
The service was conducted by the archbishop of Sherbrooke, while crowds outside the church watched the service on giant video screens.
Forty-seven people died when a train carrying crude oil went off the tracks and exploded into a fireball in the centre of the picturesque lakeside town in Quebec’s Eastern Townships .
