The late Philip Seymour Hoffman’s final movie will open in theatres on May 9th. It will then move to video-on-demand on May 14th. Hoffman plays the lead role in the low-budget feature, God’s Pocket, which is directed by Mad Men star, John Slattery. It’s a dark comedy that casts Hoffman as a hapless man named Mickey who tries to cover up the accidental death of his stepson. Mickey’s plan falls to pieces when the boy’s mother comes looking for answers. 46-year old Hoffman died following an overdoes of drugs including cocaine and heroin.
