Ontario’s Progressive Conservatives want the C-E-O of Hydro One, Carmine Marcello – fired.
The demand is prompted by what the PC’s say is outrageous over-billing and poor customer service.
Tory M-P-P Jeff Yurek gives the example of a family-run grain elevator – that usually pays around $4,500 monthly for electricity to the government owned utility, getting a three-month bill for more than $233,000.
Yurek says it’s the worst example of seemingly unexplainable Hydro One bills – which he hears complaints about every day.
Ontario’s ombudsman has begun a formal investigation into Hydro One’s billing practices.
