A new poll shows Mayor Rob Ford’s approval rating has hit an all-time low.
The Forum Research survey was conducted Wednesday. It showed Ford’s approval rating at 32%, down from 38% at the beginning of the month.
The telephone survey was taken on the same day the story emerged about a woman being arrested on an impaired driving charge in Muskoka while driving Rob Ford’s car.
The mayor’s brother, Councillor Doug Ford, has confirmed the car involved in the arrest belonged to Rob.
Forum Research also gauged support for the mayoral candidates. Olivia Chow has the lead at 36%. John Tory has 27% and Ford has 24%. Karen Stintz and David Socknaki are well back a 3% each.
Councillor Doug Ford has suggested he might run for Mayor if his brother drops out. Forum found that Doug Ford’s support was about four points lower than his brother’s.
