Canadian-Egyptian journalist Mohammad Fahmy has now received a temporary Canadian Passport. However, Fahmy’s retrial on terror-related charges has been adjourned until April 28th. It was expected that evidence to be presented today might lead to Fahmy’s freedom. The al jazeera journalist spent a year in an Egyptian prison after being convicted in what some believe was a sham trial. He is currently out on bail.
