January 25th is Robert Burns Day.
Burns was a Scottish Poet and Lyricist who wrote the famous “Auld Lang Syne” which we sing every New Year’s Eve.
The occasion usually involved walnut oatcakes and whisky chedder spread, haggis and plenty of seriously good single malt Scotch whisky.
Burs was born January 25, 1759.  He died in 1796.
