N-D-P Leader Jagmeet Singh won a crucial byelection in B-C’s Burnaby South riding Monday night. But the orange wave has gone Liberal blue in the riding of Outremont in Montreal held by former NDP leader Thomas Mulcair. But Singh says N-D-P candidate Julia Sanchez ran an excellent campaign. Rachel Bendayan reclaimed Outremont riding for the Liberals. In the other federal byelection, Conservative Scot Davidson won York Simcoe which had been represented by fellow conservative Peter Van Loan.
