Trading has been halted on Canada’s biggest stock exchange for the rest of the day due to a problem with entering orders.

The TMX group has announced they stopped trading on the TSX as well as the TSX Venture and Alpha Exchanges.

When trading was halted this afternoon, the TSX had continued its downward slide and was trading more than 300 points today.

The slide continued the downward trend for markets across North America. Continued fears over the spread of the Coronavirus have traders worried. The Dow Jones in New York traded down over 1,000 points in trading on Thursday.
