ONTARIO REPORTING 23 NEW COVID-19 CASES, PROVINCIAL TOTAL NOW 212

There are almost two dozen more cases of COVID-19 in Ontario with most linked to either travel or previous cases.
The legislature is being recalled for an emergency session tomorrow to pass legislation to cushion the impact from the pandemic.
The government expects to receive unanimous consent to debate and vote on a bill to provide job protection for those ordered to stay home.
It would also extend protection to those worker who would have to remain home to care for family members, including children while schools are closed.
To protect the health and safety of Ontario seniors, the chief medical officer of health is recommending licensed retirement homes only allow essential visitors; those seeing resident who are very ill or require end-of-life care, until further notice.
Premier Doug Ford says the prime minister made the right call to close the border with the U.S. to travellers.
Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens agrees even though the city will undoubtedly take an economic hit.
Windsor’s the busiest crossing point in the country and the city’s Chamber of Commerce is praising Ottawa for allowing goods to continuing moving.
