Still having trouble getting a flu shot?
Many pharmacies and doctor’s offices report they’re low or out of supply as Ontarians are being urged to get the flu shot this year to help mitigate symptoms of COVID if infected. However, while new doses are arriving, there are still no clear timelines for distribution.
“We’ve just received 142,000 more doses from Sanofi and we are working with global manufacturers to receive another million vaccines which should be available in very short order, so we want to make sure we can complete the vaccination program and be ready with the COVID vaccination program,” said Health Minister Christine Elliott.
The province ordered 1M more doses more this year and so far, 5M Ontarians have received the flu shot.
