The oldest active park ranger in the United States is hanging up her Smokey hat at the age of 100.

Betty Reid Soskin retired yesterday after more than 15-years working at “The Rosie the Riveter World War Two Home Front National Historical Park,” in California.

Soskin led tours at the park and museum which honours the women who worked in American factories during World War Two and shared her own experience as a Black woman during the conflict.

She celebrated her 100th birthday last September.
