ELTON JOHN TO RELEASE CAREER-SPANNING COLLECTION ”ELTON: JEWEL BOX”

Saying the COVID-19 lockdown has given him time to take stock, Elton John is going to release a collection of rare, unreleased songs.
To preview the eight-CD box set ”Elton:  Jewel Box,” John has dropped the previously never released 1969 demo ”Sing Me No Sad Songs.”
”As a devout record collector myself, this project has really excited me,” John says in a statement.
”I couldn’t be happier with the level of craft involved in such a carefully curated, lovingly constructed box set.  I’m sure my fans will enjoy it as much as I have.”
The collection will be released November 13, in several formats, including an eight-CD box set that comes with a hardcover book full of photos and commentary by John, a four-LP set, a three-LP set and a two-LP versions.
Forced to suspend his ”Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour in March due to COVID-19, as of now, Elton John plans on resuming it January 15, 2021 in Auckland, New Zealand.
