The Class of 2023′, entering the Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame this weekend, includes a wide variety of artists indeed. From the pioneering guitar wizard Link Wray and the legendary country icon Willie Nelson, to the great soul group The Spinners, Grammy-winning singer songwriter Sheryl Crow, and the late superstar George Michael – it’s a terrific group, and their songs make for a great spotlight.
I’ll also celebrate Joni Mitchell who’s about to turn 80 next week. And in the show’s first hour – ‘Our Sunday Best – A Century of #1 Hits‘ – we’ll chase the ‘4s’ with the top songs from this week in 1934, ’44, ’54, ’64, ’74 and ’84, along with ‘The Story Behind the Song‘ ‘You Needed Me’ by Anne Murray. I hope you’ll tune in this Sunday (Nov. 5th) from 2:00 to 4:30pm.
