Zoomer super athlete Diana Nyad has achieved her dream.
The American endurance swimmer has completed a 180 km swim from Havana, Cuba to Key West, Florida without using a shark cage. She’s the first person ever to do it.
The 64 year-old Nyad reached the shores of Key West just before 2:00 p.m. Monday, about 53 hours after jumping into the water in Cuba on Saturday.
It was her fifth attempt at the swim. Her first was in 1978.
