CANADIAN MILITARY HEALTH UNIT TO BATTLE EBOLA IN WEST AFRICA

Canada is sending a military health unit to fight Ebola in west Africa. 

The Canadian Armed Forces 45-member medical contingent left CFB Trenton early Saturday to begin training in the United Kingdom.  Thirty-seven will then go to Sierra Leone, while 8 will return to Canada as alternates.   

Under Operation Sirona. the military health care and support unit is expected to be in Sierra Leone for six months.
