One of America’s most versatile and durable character actors has passed away.
Edward Hermann, whose work ranged from TV shows like “Gilmore Girls”, “The Good Wife” and “Grey’s Anatomy,” to Broaway and several movies, died in New York City.
Hermann was know for his portrayel of Franklin D. Roosevelt in moviesl and documentaries, most recently the voice of FDR in the Ken Burns PBS special “The Roosevelts: An Intimate History.”
He won a Tony Award on Broadway in 1976 for his work in “Mrs. Warren’s Profession.”
Hermann, who was 71, was battling brain cancer.
