A posthumous “Artist of the Year” Juno has been awarded to the late Leonard Cohen.
It was presented to Cohen’s son Adam at a gala dinner in Ottawa Saturday night for the 46th Annual Juno Awards honouring Canada’s music industry and artists.
Cohen also won the award in 2013. He died last November at the age of 82.
His son says his father knew that his album “You Want It Darker” would be the last one he would ever produce.
Singer Feist was scheduled to pay tribute to Cohen at Sunday’s awards ceremonies with an arrangement of one of his classic songs.
