Tanya Granic Allen is out as a Progressive Conservative candidate in the June provincial election.
In a statement, P-C Leader Doug Ford says Granic Allen will not represent the party in the riding of Mississauga Centre because her “characterization of certain issues and people has been irresponsible.”
Ford’s decision came after the Ontario Liberal Party shared a video of her they describe as her representing “hatred and homophobia.”
In a response on Twitter, Granic Allen, who ran for party leader against Ford, says she’s disappointed that she was informed of the decision to drop her from the candidacy by Ford’s campaign manager.
