You’ll soon be able to save a trip to the a Service Ontario kiosk and instead do provincial matters online.
The province unveiled its new digital strategy and Treasury Board President Peter Bethlenfalvy says the top 10 services offered by Service Ontario will go online. However, he gave no timeline for when the new services will roll out. The province also plans to overhaul its procurement process, a move the government estimates will save $1 billion a year. It’s also looking at provincially owned offices and possibly unloading space it doesn’t need. The broader digital plan also calls for the province to consolidate transfer payments to social service agencies.
