Premier Doug Ford will host Quebec Premier Francois Legault next week at a pandemic summit to talk about the economy and a potential second wave of COVID-19.
“This summit is happening at a critical juncture in our history as Canada’s two largest economies and most populous provinces relying on the significant relationship, relying on the strong partnership,” Ford told reporters.
Ford says the relationship between Canada’s two largest economies will be more important than ever in fighting U-S protectionism and getting the economy back on track. The two provinces have been hit hardest by COVID-19 and Legault says they have a lot to learn from each other.
The summit will be held in Mississauga on September 8 and 9.
