The Cannes Film Festival will reopen Tuesday as the first major film festival to attempt an essentially full edition.
There will be no virtual component, and no empty seats between festival goers but attendees must wear masks and get tested every 48 hours.
Annette will be among the first films/musical to screen. It tells the story of a stand-up comedian and his wife, a world-famous soprano whose lives take an unexpected turn.
Meantime, the Toronto International Film Festival is set to launch the 45th edition September 9th to 18th.
More than 100 films will screen digitally with in-person at four venues and there will be outdoor screenings at three downtown Toronto drive-in and open air venues.
