Could it be the sign of a crack in the Trudeau government’s pandemic policies?
”At last, I think it’s time to stop dividing Canadians, to stop pitting one part of the population against another,” said Joel Lightbound, Liberal MP for Louis-Hebert.
He claims the government is demonizing those who have justifiable criticisms of the way it has responded to the pandemic.
”Though I am alone voicing these concerns publicly today, I can tell you that I’m not the only one who feels, to varying degrees, as I do within our ranks.”
While agreeing with the government’s position that it’s time for the trucker convoy to leave Ottawa, Lightbound says some of those taking part have ”legitimate concerns.”
The Liberals have said all of their MPs are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
