ACTOR MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY SPEAKS AT WHITE HOUSE ON GUN CONTROL

Actor Matthew McConaughey, who is from Uvalde Texas, delivered emotional remarks at the White House telling the stories of those who died in the recent elementary school shooting and urging more action on gun control.

 

McConaughey says actions must be taken to honour the lives of the 19 children and two teachers killed .

The 52-year-old actor held meetings with lawmakers earlier in the day Tuesday to discuss gun reform legislation.

The Academy-award winning actor last year seriously considered a run for governor of Texas last year but ultimately ruled it out.
